Everything about how Donate works, end to end.
What Donate is
Donate turns a coin's trading fees into real donations to a GoFundMe campaign. You launch a coin for a cause's GoFundMe, and every trade of that coin generates creator fees that are locked on-chain, converted to dollars through the Kraken API, and donated to that campaign.
80% of every coin's creator fees go to the cause's GoFundMe; 20% buys back and burns $Donate, the platform token.
Who it's for
Any cause that has a GoFundMe campaign - a person, a family, a community effort. If they're raising on GoFundMe, a coin can be launched to send that campaign a stream of donations funded entirely by trading fees.
Supporters get a coin to rally around; the cause gets money it wouldn't otherwise, without asking anyone to donate out of pocket.
Launching a coin
On the Launch page, pick a GoFundMe from the directory or paste one's link, name the coin (name, ticker, image), connect your wallet, and optionally set a dev buy. You pay the launch and keep your dev supply - the coin is a normal pump.fun coin.
The coin's creator (fee recipient) is set to the fund's own escrow address and locked on-chain, so its creator fees can only ever flow to the cause. The coin is not published until we confirm on-chain that its creator really is the escrow.
Registering an existing coin
Already launched a coin? Use Register. We give you the fund's escrow address; on pump.fun you point the coin's fee sharing at it and revoke it, then we verify on-chain that the routing reaches the escrow and is locked. Only then does the fund go live.
How fees are handled
A worker claims each coin's creator fees continuously (both the bonding-curve and PumpSwap vaults) into the fund's own on-chain escrow, and splits every claim: 80% for the cause, 20% to buy back and burn $Donate.
Each fund has its own escrow address, so fees are never pooled or mixed between causes - attribution is enforced on-chain, not inferred.
From crypto to the GoFundMe
The cause's 80% is converted from crypto to US dollars automatically through the Kraken API and withdrawn to the payout account. Each cause's dollars accumulate and are scheduled as a payout.
GoFundMe has no payout API, so the final donation is made by hand on the campaign page and its receipt is uploaded. That receipt is posted on the coin page - the last step is proven by a real GoFundMe receipt, not just a number.
Every step is tracked
Fees claimed, the 80/20 split, the conversion to dollars, and the GoFundMe donation each become a record on the coin's page. Crypto steps link to their Solana transactions; the donation links to its GoFundMe receipt.
So anyone can follow a single coin's money from a trade all the way to the campaign, with proof at each step.
$Donate buyback & burn
20% of every claim buys $Donate on the open market and burns it through the SPL Token program's burn instruction, permanently removing it from supply. Every buy and burn is on-chain. The token exists to fund the platform - we never promise returns to holders.
